We had a brilliant DAY Training event last week! Look at all our participants’ smiling faces. Each one is excited to have brilliant resource to do meaningful work with children and young people! 100% of participants said the training had “exceeded” their expectations! Hurrah!
Here’s some of their feedback:
It's easily the best training I've done.
It is so well organised with lots of flexibility to put it into practice!
I think the resources are incredible, I think they really speak to young people and they have been held in mind in the creation of the programme.
I am very excited to use them and I am grateful they are all available rather than us having to plan sessions. I am also pleased that they are regularly updated.
Absolutely incredible. Every last detail is so incredibly well thought out and made not only with every practicality in mind but with children and young people at the heart of it.
The training is really thorough and considers how to deliver the programme in the safest and most relatable way for young people…and it's valuable to meet other practitioners, to pool knowledge and experience.
The programme is really well resourced, the DAY Hub seems clear and easy to navigate to access the resources, they seem current and up to date and the some of the older content still seems relevant and very powerful. The resources also seem inclusive.
DAY would be an opportunity to be part of a change. There's a lot of places or programmes that might promise that, but not a lot that could succeed. This is such a clear, thought-out and useable programme and if rolled out nationally, could change the society we live in for the better.
This is a programme that should be essential to all younger people, this will make a difference to attitudes and behaviours at that very important age. With so many unhealthy relationships and domestic abuse incidents rising, this sort of thing is what funding should be going in to!!
This is such a valuable programme for young people, Domestic Abuse and sexual violence is so prevalent and effects so many young people that it's vital to have programmes that try to change harmful attitudes and behaviours and raise awareness on unhealthy relationships and abuse, and that provides young people with the ability to think critically about the messages we receive socially about gender norms, relationships, difference. Providing spaces where children have the opportunities to widen their lens and consider things from different perspectives is really beneficial, it's also important in offering children opportunities to disclose abuse, harmful behaviour, and to access the relevant support.
Our next training event is in November! You can book in HERE.
